This Cookie Policy explains how OmixMe, operated by SAMETA s.r.o., Company ID: 50 706 667 (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the website https://omixme.com (the “Website”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. We use cookies in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the ePrivacy rules and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data.
OmixMe is not a medical device and not a healthcare service (not an in-vitro diagnostic medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/746 (IVDR), and not a provider of healthcare under Act No. 576/2004 Coll.); the service and report are for research/informational use only. This Cookie Policy concerns only the use of cookies on the Website.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They help the Website function properly, remember your preferences, and help us understand how the Website is used. We also use related technologies – such as web beacons, pixels and local storage – for similar purposes (together referred to here as “cookies”).
First-party vs third-party. First-party cookies are set by us; third-party cookies are set by external providers (e.g. analytics or social platforms) whose tools we embed.
Session vs persistent. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until you delete them.
2. Why we use cookies
Essential (necessary) cookies – enable core functionality such as secure navigation, load balancing and remembering your cookie choices. The Website cannot work properly without them.
Analytical & performance cookies – help us understand how visitors use the Website (e.g. pages visited, time on page, errors) so we can improve it.
Personalisation cookies – remember your settings and preferences to give you a more tailored experience.
Advertising & social-media cookies – measure and deliver relevant content/ads and enable social sharing or sign-in integrations.
3. Legal basis
Essential cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the Website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
All non-essential cookies (analytical, personalisation, advertising, social media) are set only with your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules). Pre-ticked boxes are not used.

5. Managing your consent and cookies
When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or open Settings to choose by category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” / “Privacy settings” link, usually in the footer.
You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may affect how the Website works.
For mobile devices you can manage ad tracking in your device settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising via industry tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (Your Online Choices).
6. Third-party cookies and social plugins
Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use (e.g. analytics or social/sign-in integrations). When you visit a page containing such a plugin, your browser may connect to the provider's servers; if you are logged into that provider, it may associate the visit with your account. To prevent this, log out of those accounts before visiting the Website. Please review the relevant providers' own privacy and cookie policies (e.g. Google).
7. Data we may collect via cookies
IP address and approximate location
browser type and settings, operating system and device identifiers
language and time-zone preferences
pages visited, duration and interactions (clicks, scrolls)
referrer URL or search terms
error messages and diagnostics
8. Retention
Cookies are kept for the period stated in the table above or until you delete them or withdraw consent. We retain records of your cookie consent for as long as needed to evidence it.
9. Your rights and contact
You have the rights set out in our Privacy Policy (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent) and the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic. For any question about cookies, contact us at [privacy@omixme.com].
10. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on the Website. Please review it periodically.
